Birds are our little winged friends, which we can meet both in the city and in the wilderness.
If you have ever been sleeping in a tent where there was a forest around, you know very well that birds can wake up even the most sleepy person at dawn. But isn't the concert of birds' voices in the morning the most pleasant of all possible wake-up calls?
It's worth learning to recognize birds found in Poland, whose drawings were made especially for us by Kamil Tarnawa.

However, please remember that the package will not be provided by Moose Maurice. First of all, it has too many hollows and holes to visit in the forest. Secondly, we do not put our hands to use animals for work, even the fairy-tale ones.
The woodpecker has characteristic black and white plumage with red shorts under its belly and a red cap on its head (in juveniles and males). The woodpecker is an extremely useful forest dweller, and is called the tree doctor or developer by naturalists. Why, you may ask? Well, with its massive beak the woodpecker digs out pest larvae and insects from under the bark of trees, which destroy the tree. The woodpecker knocks with its beak so fiercely that it often drills hollows while digging out food, which other birds then like to inhabit. An adult woodpecker strikes a tree with its beak about 12,000 times a day. It is as if you were beating a drum continuously from the very morning until night.
